He did use Mesa stuff, actually a modified Tri-axis guitar amp up until about april 2001, then he switched to SWR, whom i presume he still uses but keeps his cabnets off stage.

For compression JM uses a dbx 166x compressor, for effects a Yamaha SPX 900 and an unknown wah pedal.

X
Uses a modified RBX Yamaha 6 string, now available to buy as a signature bass.

for the complete list of his gear, as HE stated look in the bass player issue that has a shortinterview, he talks about every piece of gear he has

I saw john myungs rig on this 2003 escape from the studio tour and that was just the pedal board and some of the rig. The pedalboard had a CAE midi controller a footswitch for boost or overdrive have you what not and a volume pedal i did not see any wah. His rack i couldn't see that much of but i saw a korg tuner and a boogie amp

It's the 6-string John Myung signature model, the RBX-JM2. But he also has the RBX 374 and 375 of four and five strings. Just take a look at johnmyung.com

I spotted his rig last friday at the Oslo gig. I cant recall it all, but he is now using Mesa. In his rack there was a Rectifier Recording preamp, probably modded (if used with the bass and not the stick), I also spotted some dbx compressors.

And a Furman powersupply, but I'm sure you all knew that...

He has changed to a Musicman 5-string Bongo Bass when they recorded Systematic Chaos, but I think that Musicman made a 6-string Bongo to him.
